Lots Happening. Get Involved!!!

Dear Church Family,

From this week's newsletter, it's clear that it has been a busy spring season for our church, school, and families. We are abundantly blessed!

I want to take a moment to express my gratitude for each of you who have invested your heart and time to serve our church and community. Perhaps you are a children's leader, assisted with the recent camporee, or will be participating in this weekend's community outreach event. Maybe you serve our community through the Church's Thrift Store, or in some other way. Some of you might be involved in leading and organizing our weekly prayer meetings or Bible study groups. We also have our social committee programs and the upcoming concert!

Not to forget the significant effort that goes into running the other departments and offices in our church, and what it takes to organize our weekly church service. A sincere thank you to each one of you who tirelessly serve our church.

This week, I'd like to quickly highlight several upcoming events:

  1. We are seeking as much help as possible for the Free Single Mom’s Oil Change on Sunday, May 26 (10AM - 2PM). Russ will bring the sign-up sheet to church again this Sabbath. Please reach out to him or find the sign-up sheet. We need your assistance!

  2. Don't miss our special picnic and baseball game on Sunday, May 26, from 2:30 to 6:30 PM. Check church news-email for additional details.

  3. Our church is hosting a Keepers of the Faith concert on Tuesday, May 28, at 7:00 PM. It's a wonderful chance to praise God together and invite friends, family, or neighbours.

  4. I'd also like to remind you of our ongoing sermon series on The Seven Churches of Revelation. This Sabbath, Terrence McLeod will preach about the church of Thyatira, the fourth church. According to ancient Hebrew literature, this is the climax of the messages to the seven churches. Join us this week for worship and study.

  5. Lastly, mark your calendars for a special church service planned for Sabbath, June 1st.

Finally, someone shared a short article with me by Doug Bing, President of the Washington Conference (check it out here). In my own words, it reminds us to love Jesus, love His Word, and love people. It's about living a life of generosity through love.

Many Blessings,

Pastor Royce
